What is ONDAMED?

ONDAMED is a battery-powered biofeedback device that a medical practitioner uses to determine which frequencies of sound, as well as the accompanying weak pulsed electromagnetic fields, cause a response in a patient's autonomic nervous system.
Temporary stimulation by these frequencies, combined with the patient's cognitive and non-cognitive participation, promotes relaxation, muscle re-education, and rehabilitation that returns the body to its former state of wellness.

President & CEO, Ondamed Inc.: Silvia Binder ND, PhD

Dr. Silvia Binder, CEO/President for Ondamed companies in Germany and the United States,brings international experience along with her entrepreneurial leadership to the ONDAMED management team.

She received her business degree in Vienna, Austria, where she grew up, moving to the U.S.at the age of twenty-one. Silvia also holds a degree in Naturopathy (ND) from the College Of Naturopathic Medicine and a PhD degree (Naturopathy) from the Open International University for Complementary Medicines.

From an early age, her path in life was being steered into the field of subtle energy.

This destiny actually began when Silvia was five years old. She had contracted acute meningitis from an infected tick and was hospitalized for seven weeks. Then, ten years later, a motor-cycle accident put her in a coma for twenty-one days. She had also suffered an open leg fracture and a PCL (posterior cruciate ligament tear). Having to relearn how to breathe and walk again transformed her; gave her a deep understanding of pain and suffering and a whole new purpose in life.

At twenty-three, Silvia started a U.S. subsidiary for a German-based semiconductor company, which she grew to a quarter-billion dollars in annual sales. A takeover prompted her to start her own business in the music field. Her company dealt with Central and Eastern Europe and international distribution soon grew to fifteen countries. A successful five-year venture ended with the outbreak of the war in Sarajevo and a falling Russian economy. It was the perfect time to close her business and turn her attention to her three children.

In 2001, her previous mentor and owner of the semiconductor company contacted her to spark her interest in taking on a new project: letting the world know of a therapy device that had helped him overcome stomach cancer. ONDAMED. Within a short time, Silvia was trained by Rolf Binder,the inventor of ONDAMED and by Wolf-Dieter Kessler, M.D. and she began the establishment of Ondamed Inc. in early 2002. Further training by various distinctive international practitioners deepened her perception of the integrative medicine approach. She fully appreciated and adapted Rolf's view of the non-disease and non-label medical model. Her experience with her own son, which "co-incidentally" occurred weeks after being trained, jump-started her passion to get this life-transforming synergy of technology and methodology into the hands of as many people as possible (See Randy's story below).

In 2006, recognizing their love for one another and a shared purpose in life, Silvia and Rolf were married. Nurtured by a loving and inspiring husband, Silvia Binder's passion to serve others continues to grow. And so grows the company.

Randy's story: Silvia's son Randy underwent L-transposition and VSD closure with a pacemaker implantation at two years of age. At the age of five, the cardiologists discovered a 1cm large thrombus in his heart. When Randy did not become therapeutic to Coumadin over three months of taking different dosages, he was faced with yet another open-heart surgery. Fortuitously, it was at this

point when Silvia had just been trained on the ONDAMED and she decided to start Randy on this therapy after having cardiologists at Westchester Medical Center in New York confirm via Echocardiogram and pacemaker testing equipment, that the pulsed electromagnetic fields emitted from ONDAMED would have no impact on the pacemaker output.  In just one week and only three 15-minute treatments, Randy's INR showed that his coagulation was within therapeutic ranges. The combination of Coumadin and ONDAMED helped reduce the thrombus to one-third of its original size, thereby avoiding open heart surgery! Randy has been medication-free since 2003, receives ONDAMED treatments twice per month, and he is developing strong and healthy.

Rolf Binder, Inventor & Founder, Ondamed Inc.

Over the past twenty-plus years, Rolf Binder has worked as an electronics engineer primarily in the field of Technology and Medical Electronics. During this period, he has been the leader of Research & Development divisions of several German Medical Equipment Companies focusing on biophysical testing and therapy applications.  Binder succeeded in developing a series of well-established, widely-known therapy systems.

Because of the shortcomings of existing modalities, Binder founded his own company in 1993 and, a year later, the ONDAMED Biofeedback System was launched — of which Binder is the sole inventor.

James Oschman, PhD:

Leading Scientist and Author in the field of Energy Medicine. James Oschman is one of the leading authorities on the scientific understanding of hands-on healing. His extensive background as a scientist and his experience and understanding of holistic healing place him in a unique position to bridge the gap between the academic/medical world and the healing community.

Dr. Shari Lieberman, PhD: Dr. Lieberman earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from The Union Institute, Cincinnati, OH and her M.S. degree in Nutrition, Food Science and Dietetics from New York University.

Dr. Lieberman was a Certified Nutrition Specialist (C.N.S.); a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition (FACN); a member of the New York Academy of Science; a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M); a board member of the Certification Board for Nutrition Specialists; President of the American Association for Health Freedom and the recipient of the National Nutritional Foods Association 2003 Clinician of the Year Award.

Dr. Wolf-Dieter Kessler, MD:

Dr. Kessler is the Chief Medical Adviser for Ondamed Inc. (USA) and Ondamed GmbH ( Germany ). Dr. Kessler, has been a physician for 34 years. His clinic in Northern Germany is a leading institute for treating acute and chronic diseases. He was part of the lung transplant team at Montefiore Hospital in New York performing mainly electron-microscopical research on both human and canine transplanted lungs.

Dr. Kessler was confronted with a health problem 35 years ago after contracting a chronic infection (Lamliasis and Coxsackie B4) in India and became highly allergic to almost anything. The lack of satisfactory help in conventional medicine made him hunt for both: to advance conventional and complementary treatments. In the late 80's Dr. Kessler went into private practice in Germany, which today employs 9 qualified nurses. Steven J. Bock, M.D., FAAP, DABMA, DABAAM:

Dr. Bock has been practicing complementary and progressive medicine for over 20 years. He attended New York Medical College and received his M.D. in 1971 and was Board Certified in Family Practice in 1977. A Founder and Co-Director of the Rhinebeck Health Center in Rhinebeck, NY and The Center for Progressive Medicine in Albany, NY.

Dr. Bock, is certified in Medical Acupuncture, and is an instructor at Albany Medical College. He is a Diplomat of the American College of Family Practice, a Diplomat of the American Academy of acupuncture, a Diplomat of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and a Board Member of the Foundation for Advancement of Innovative Medicine (FAIM). Dr. Bock’s medical practice merges traditional medicine with alternative and complementary medicine, combining the modalities of acupuncture, functional and nutritional medicine, homeopathy, herbal medicine and environmental medicine into an integrated medical model for optimal wellness.
